"Best friend" recently moved out of our shared rented house to move countries to be with her fiance, a guy she met 1 year ago, long distance relationship, she met him for perhaps 4 weekends in as many months, the relationship "grew" through text messaging mostly, Then he moved countries for 3/4 months & moved in with her & me. He proposed on the 1st night he moved in…She hid this from everyone but me until another 6 months later as she knew her family would react with worry as it was all too fast. He was always in the house that she & I shared, he did’nt contribute in any way other than being this constant presence who rarely mixed with me or the other housemate he shared pleasantries but not himself or his personality…(What personality?) she was always out working or going to college or doing voluntary work during this time. He returned to his home country after 3 months for work. 6 months later she has moved countries to be with him. They are shacked up in his Mums house (he claims he has the mortgage on it..She found out the family lived in it since he was 4 he’s now 36 & was jilted in the past…) & she has started a 2 year intense college course, she as yet has no income and said to my surprise "well, I’ll have no rent to pay so I’ll make the most of the free ride while I’m studying" She & I were considered "best friends" by anyone that knows us, I am taken aback by her behaviour here since this whole "Relationship" started, it’s like she jumped in without ever knowing the guy, engaged 4 months after meeting perhaps 6 times for weekends??? This girl is 28, he is her first EVER boyfriend. Since she moved away 2 weeks ago, she has not rung me once to ask anything about me, she has only ever texted me in relation to money for our old shared bills or her mail etc. I kind of got the feeling she was being selfish once we lived together especially when she moved the new man in after saying he would pay rent but he never did, I confronted her about this and said me and another housemate were under the impression that her fella would share the rent, she said "No, I said he would share the bills…(LIE)" I told her the other housemate and I were not entirely happy with the situation of him always hanging around the house yet never mixing with us and making things very uncomfortable in what was to be a girlie house at the time. He moved back to his Mums in another country with his work 3 weeks later so the issue was over. I would like to hear people’s opinions on this, I’m not upset because I’ve kind of expected this over the past year, our friendship slipped away as soon as we moved in together, she only ever went out with other friends or the fiance if he was over. I didnt let it bother me and continued to do my own thing but hey! has this girl taken the complete p*ss or what! I would like to know if anyone thinks I should just let her go and not bother keeping contact as I am normally very supportive of her and am inclined to boulster her ego & have supported her financially (stupidly) and emotionally over the past 10 years of our friendship…as a friend..but now I’m thinking "ye know what, you took me for a complete ride and now you can go fcuk yourself.." YAHOO ANSWERERS WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Note: I am all for her having the "happy ever after" if he’s the right guy, I actually do hope he is and that she has her dream life & wedding etc. & I am old enough and experienced enough to know what she’s done over the past year, I’d just like to hear your opinions. Be as mad or as sweet as you like, it’s good therapy to discuss these things online!!
i need a phone that i can get on the internet with & use as a calendar & date book. right now, i pretty much completely live out of my Mac. i have all my contacts & phone numbers & dates stored in my iCal & address book (also backed up on a flashdrive, of course). i also have an iPod (that is going to need to be replaced within the year) that i listen to constantly.
the price of the iPhone itself is no big deal, but what about the plan? i really don’t use my cell phone right now to simply chitchat, i use it to make important calls.
I recently purchased my first new computer and am seeking to transfer my files and immages and I want to use the most efficient way to get my data into my new one. The two Pc’s run on different opporating systems XP and Vista and I have programs to transfer that have license agreements or key codes to use programs that I don’t have a CD-Rom available to install them into my new computer. This includes microsoft word as well as other programs and games that I don’t want to lose. Do I have other options with only one modem available? Or is this my most efficient way to accomplish the transfer? Both PC’s are emachines incase that makes a difference in the outcome. I found out that True Switch from AT&T would not work for transfering from a free yahoo email account to an AT&T email account and I had to transfer all of my contacts and stuff manually and it was a hassle.for me switch over. Do I have an easy job ahead of me or is it a walk in the park in compairisson to my email swich?
I purchased a computer back in December of 2005 with a one year warranty on it. However, it has been in the shop more than it has been HERE!!! Then, I finally have had enough & take it somewhere else for repairs!! Only to find out that it has a 7-year old processor in it!!! And the processor MUST be replaced SOON!! Meanwhile, I’ve spent another 0 getting it to RUN!!
I have reported the company that sold me the PC to the Better Business Bureau. I am considering taking the company to small claims court if the issues aren’t resolved by the Better Business Bureau!! In the meantime, what do I do? As I am attending college online and my PC crashes OFTEN……. I am so TIRED of this piece of junk!! I just wish he’d come pick it up & hand me my money back so I can actually have a PC that works more than 1/4 of the time!!!!

At a barbecue I went to at my friends (call her Jade) yacht club at the beginning of August she introduced me to one of her family friends (since birth). We were just talking normally and then me and Jade said we were going to get drinks and then we went and just wandered around the boat. Later that night when we were the only ones left in our circle of friends we went up to the top room in the boat which we thought was empty. We were just sitting there talking about randomn stuff when Jade’s family friend (call him jack) popped up behind the table tennis table smiling and looking at me. (there was one other guy there but then he had to go) Me and Jade laughed because he was pulling a funny/smiley face. he did that a few times and then didnt do anything for a while. Then suddenly i felt something land on me & it was his shirt. I picked it up and looked at him and laughed. then he came round and asked for it back, so i went up to the (spiral) staircase and held it over there, he kept edging closer and i said ‘ well then…why did u throw it at me’ in a smiley way. He got close and then I dropped it. I sat back down laughing and then he came back up smiling. Soon after Jade and me had to go back to her house so we left. I thought about him quite a bit in the holidays because he was really nice and not bad looking either so i added him on facebook. On Friday morning it was my first day back at school and i get the train and he getson the train to school at the same station as me, on Friday i was standing with two friends and he walked past me quite close ( roughly a foot away) but didnt look or say anything to me. On Friday evening I talked to him on facebook just about stuff and asked him if he remembered me from the barbecue, he said he did and then put a smiley face, but then my facebook chat broke so we got cut off. On Sunday again I was talking to him on facebook about stuff like our old schools and stuff like that, then i said i was tired and i was going to go to bed and i also said i’ll see you at the station tomorrow then and he said yeah i’ll see u. But then the next morning at the station he didn’t look at me he just walked close to me. I talked to him again on Tuesday about what options he was taking and if he was doing duke of edinburgh and then he had to go to dinner. And then the next morning, he didn’t look but walked really close. Then on Thursday I was talkin 2 him again..and then I said ‘heyy, if you are free on saturday do u want to go & see Dorian Gray’ but he didn’t reply although he was still online..it isn’t the first time he has done that because ‘Jade’ told me that they only have one computer and his older sister always comes in and goes on facebook.. I really like him but I don’t know if he likes me and I don’t want it to seem that i’m desperate to him on facebook and stuff so please can u suggest things for me to do??? and also, my friend ‘Jade’ told me that him and his sisters are a bit weird like that, as in they don’t really talk to their other friends while their with their friends…

On night, I turned on my PC, I was wondering why my "Connect To" Icon in the Start Menu was missing. So I went & gone to the Control Panel & check on my Network Connections. Turns out, my "Dial Up Shortcut" was missing. So I tried to make a new on, but for some reason, my PC won’t let me & only allowed me to make a connection using a broadband that is always on:
But one time my dad ask a technician to fix something in my PC w/c allows us to connect to the net w/o going through dial up. And our package was originally for only 1 PC but we used a router to give 2 PCs a net connection.
Thing is, I can still somewhat use the net w/o dialing up, only problem, it doesn’t always work. I either have to disable local area then turn off my modem & router, turn them back on & enable local area, & finally, do alot of repair w/ local area for my net to work again. Also, when the other pc in my house connects to the net, my net gets cut off. But when the other PC is online & I connect to the net, the other PC doesn’t get disconnected. But we never had this problem before since we can just use the dial up again so that 2 PC can have internet access.
Besides my internet problem, I also realized the day this happened, the "Not Geniune Windows" icon no longer appeared in the lower right corner of my PC. Because my Windows isn’t geniune & I couldn’t afford a real one that time. Doesn’t bother me much though. We had auto windows update disabled last time.
Finally, a weird 3rd problem occurs. The usernames of my Processes tab of my Task Manager no longer appears except for the System Idle Process.
i’m currently seeing someone and he has moved to spain for a business trip and wont be back for a while so i thought we could both get Webcam so it was like he wasn’t away from me and we could chat on msn where its free. We barely have any money but i want him to get a Webcam, he says hes been "trying" to get one but is still cam-free so i was going to send him a Webcam through the post because his birthday is coming up and i wanted it to be a surprise, but i don’t want to send anything valuable from the UK to Spain, is there anywhere i can order a cam online then send it to his address so he can pay for it (lol i no i’m mean)
i was hoping to do this before christmas but places like amazon told me that i couldn’t send it to spain without lots of extra charges, i was just wondering if anyone knew how to send an order there, like a website or something. Please i need help, his feeble attempts upset me so we argue about it, i hate having him so far away but i love him and can’t push him away, i really need to see him again it seems to have been years since i saw him last.
Also he says he has a cam that won’t work on msn only yahoo but when we try it never works, is there a cheap cam the specialises in MSN. And to be a pain, do any websites have cams to order that are priced in Euros because all i can find is £ & $

My MAC computer crashed recently and we had to get a new hard drive – problem is- I stupidly did not have my photos or music backed up. I do however have all of my music and some of my photos on my IPOD touch. (not a phone) Is there any way to get the music and photos uploaded back into my IPhoto & ITunes?? Please help if possible!

The music was not from ITunes – the worst part is that a lot of the music was my own CD’s that i uploaded on the computer and got rid of the CD’s when I was finished! =(
I have had this virus on my computer for quite awhile, but it never really bothered me bcus my internet was down for so years well, however I just got back online and this won’t let me d-load or upgrade ANYTHING! So I called one of my friends and he came on Wednesday to wipe the system clean! So he stored all my files on cds & redid everything. Then he d-loaded the latest MSN & Explorer, he also put Mcafee on, but one of the last things he did was put all my backed up files back on the PC & the brontok virus stores itself in "My Pictures" so I assume that’s why it’s back on my computer again! So I searched through Yahoo answers on ways to remove it but they keep telling me to d-load stuff to combat it. BUT I CAN’T DO THAT CAUSE THE VIRUS WON’T LET ME!!!! Is there any other way to get it off? HELP ME!!!!

Frank N Stein I have alaptop can I use that? & The Kidd, how do I know when to restore to? Cus before tuesday it had the virus & then I’m assuming When the guy put all my backed up files back on He put the virus back on too!

Our family pc was hit with the fake Anitvirus Soft and it wiped everything out. Thank-goodness for online back up protection!
