my laptop is a mac-book white, version 10.4.11
my desktop is frozen and it has an unchangeable blue default
desktop screen. also my dock is missing.
i am running mac so no info needed about windows, it has nothing to do with the battery or charger

can’t afford new laptop and have lost the installation disc and cat afford to buy new installation disc, also i can download it but i can’t burn it because my disc is too small…….. i also can not reinstall because i don’t want to lose my programs becasue i can not back them up. too much stuff..!!!!
i have 15.5 gigabytes left remaining on my laptop so the problem can’t be bad memory
the last thing i did was type in terminal killall dock
and also installed shapeshifter, liger and applacation enhancer.
now i have unstalled them and nothing has changed.
i haev also resteted numerous of times, booted in safemode, and took the battery out and placed it back in.
none of those worked…..

I got this "anti-virus" software unintentionally last week and now it’s harassing me to "Get License" since.. I am not able to uninstall it(conventionally) and could not find a folder or file with the same name in my program list. Once, when i tried to ignore another harassment attempt, my computer turned to a blue screen and then a fake reboot which reads: "Windows recommends you to activate Cyber Security soon"
Pretty sure that’s malware… tips on how to remove it?

The person who hacked this pc got booted and then found a way back in via Yahoo Messenger. I shutdown Messenger completely. This person decided to take up residence on the wgatray which may be connected to Symantics Norton 2006 and my ISP, as she’s able to cause the online connection to be severed through this point. Does anyone have any knowledge on this that they can pass on to me? Be specific please, and thank you.

I’ll be using it for iTunes, typical internet stuff and graphic arts. I would like to put the following programs on it: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Flash, Bryce and possibly Dreamweaver. I was wondering if there is enough ram and hard drive space for all of that. I always back up my work on flash-drives so I am not concerned about keeping my art files on the computer.
