i’ve located the virus’s file but i can’t close out the application on task manager. i also get fake "anti-virus software alerts." and the logo is a shield.
does anybody know i way to get rid of the virus? possibly without buying additional software?
my webroot subscription has expired… but the virus has already infected the program so i don’t know if i should renew my subscription if it wont work. :-\
I want to use an online backup system. I am trying one that seems terrible, and it advised me that if I try to back up my entire C drive I will find that impossible because of protected data.

The other day I was doing a backup on my computer and I didn’t have any disks. The computer reccommended that I back it up to me recovery disk so I did. But it completely filled up my recovery disk. I have tried restoring the backed up files and it still is full. I also did a system restore. Does anyone know a way to remove to back up and free up my recovery disk? Please help. I have Windows Vista on my computer by the way.
It is my D drive. Sorry my computer calls it both names. The F11 thing, is it something I am supposed to push while the computer is booting up?

I have a Fujitsu Lifebook A series. I turn it on as normal, enter my password and get to my desktop. It then freezes. After that, it’s impossible to get anywhere with anything. Even if I leave it too long on my user name page, it freezes.
I have tried safe mode, and running Ad-Aware. This did nothing. My virus program (PN-Cillin) Told me that it reverted back because my computer was unstable, and it won’t run in safe mode so I can’t run a virus scan.
I also tried to set it back to the last good configuration. This didn’t do anything either.
The disk error check did nothing…
I really need help on getting my computer back and running. I have almost everything backed up, but my Ipod, school work, projects and photos are all on this computer and I need it Monday for classes.
Any help? I don’t have a lot of money to work with here….
